Get Up & Go

Over 13 years later, this band still makes me smile no matter how I'm feeling. And now I live in New York, so I get all the spoils of superfandom (see last 3 shows on list) I dreamed of when I was 13 and living in Newport News.

I've dropped the Hanson shirts though.
And the ear-piercing teenage screaming.
And the poster buying (except certain movie posters....but that's besides the point).

I've gained a high school degree, four college degrees, lived in 8 cities, 4 states, 2 countries, gotten a drivers licence, numerous amounts of amazing friends (9 different people have joined or will join for the shows below), gained and lost Old Faithful the backpack, and many, many other things. And missed one concert due to a deer, Nebraska football and the bug.

JP's Hanson Concert Resume:

07/02/98. DC. Nissan Pavilion. The Albertane Tour
08/12/98. Va Beach. GTE Amphitheater. The Albertane Tour
08/19/00. Dallas. Six Flags Over Texas. This Time Around Tour
03/30/05. Paris. Le Grand Rex. The Underneath Tour
04/05/05. Munich. Muffathalle. The Underneath Tour
10/20/08. New York. Nokia Theater. The Walk Around The World
10/15/09. New York. Nokia Theatre. Use Your Soul Tour
04/27/10. New York. Gramercy Theater. 5-of-5: This Time Around
04/28/10. New York. Gramercy Theater. 5-of-5: Underneath
05/01/10. Meadowlands, NJ. Giants Stadium. Bamboozle

I'm on a business trip writing this in between video editing processing, this creates time-killing detail. Much like my Singapore post. And I can't believe my sis and I both got one of fourteen tix for the two concerts I chose for the 5-of-5 stint.

Hanson. They do still rock.

Lost in stereo

Ah! Must do it! The trailer has to be coming!

Alas, after 7/10 for the New Moon wish list, I present you with the ECLIPSE wish list! Background on Eclipse: My second fav book after Twilight. Also has my favorite scene of the ENTIRE series (#1 on list). I reached my limit in seeing New Moon. And, no, I did not see it more than Twilight!! Just the same number of times. So not only will I be seeing this movie multiple times, I'll be seeing Edward, Bella and Co 3 stories tall, as it will be at the IMax!! I am a little worried about Bella's hair (Kristen wore a wig....we all remember Jacob's wig from Twilight and Jackson's wig from NM....ew). I'm not even very excited for this movie yet. I really wish it were coming out in November instead of June 30.

BUT! On to the list!

The 4 must haves:

1) Bella punching Jacob and all that ensues. Edward's crazy rants.

2) Leg hitch.

3) The proposal scene

4) The tent scene (Obvi the space heater conversation has to come into play.....)

Optional, but would be nice:
5) Jacob showing up to kidnap Bella
6) Alice and Edward playing chess!
7) The humans taking bets on Edward and Jacob

Really, as long as 1, 2, 3, and 4 make it into the movie, I'm going to be one happy Eclipse camper. I'm not super critical. Stick to the book. I'm really hoping for some bella/edward get to know eachother time. Has anyone else noticed that they haven't developed a relationship at all? Nothin, nada.

OK. On to quotes:
Must haves:
"No Emmett, I punched a warewolf in the face." and "Then if your still here. I'm going to fetch up a crowbar." - Bella
"Does my being half-naked bother you?" — Jacob Black *The midnight theater will EXPLODE if this one is said*
“You know that I’ve stolen, I’ve lied, I’ve coveted… my virtue is all I have left.” Edward
“I believe that. But I want you to know something — when it comes to all this enemies nonsense, I’m out. I am a neutral country. I am Switzerland." Bella
